In addition, it will illustrate the validation to the aims, topic, and research question, the aims of the research, the general objectives, importance of this study, and define terms related to the research.1.2 Background InformationThe use of online learning regarding nursing education has been questionable for quite a long time, on whethe r it is effective as the traditional learning method. A systematic analysis which scrutinized nearly 100 quasi-experimental and experimental researchers concluded that almost two-thirds of the students who engaged in online education outdid their classrooms colleagues (Boltz et al., 2016). According to the systematic analysis, it was found that online nursing education was not only as excellent as traditional nursing learning, but it was better. For the traditional nursing educational situation, it involves typically a professor coming physically into the classroom to teach. Even though technological resources and tools may be used at the classroom level, the students regularly become inactive receivers of information, since they agitatedly try to note down what the professor has to say (Button et al., 2014); (Cook et al., 2013). One of the professors who has used all the learning techniques suggests that traditional form of nursing education has not yet integrated and harnessed the extraordinary technical nursing resources which are capable of transforming the learning and teaching processes.Several institutions such as universities and colleges which offer online nursing education, tutors have probably been replaced or eliminated by interactive seminars (Cook et al., 2013). The online nursing education presents to students all the nursing courses and programs to be undertaken during a specific period of learning. These interactive seminars have various uses that include the provision of platforms for faculties to give information which is not yet obtainable from existing textbooks. Also, they can address contemporary topics that nursing students are concerned about, or by answering general questions from the course content. The use of online learning methods like seminars, help the learners to make relations between readings, written assignments, and the online discussion (Campbell Daley, 2013). The tutor promotes such relations through clarifying ideas or as sisting learners to think about a specific issue critically. At the end of such a learning process, learners do not merely memorize the material for exam purposes, but also they show mastery of the material, which is then evaluated by the faculty. In sum, distance or online education offers a deeper intellectual form of learning for nurses.1.3 ValidationOnline nursing education in the recent past has continued to be increasingly used by healthcare professionals in learning purposes (Cant and Cooper, 2010). Meanwhile, there has not been any agreeable definition of online learning. Globally, it has been recognized as the internet centred way of learning, as opposed to the traditional form of learning where there was face to face communication. Online learning, therefore, presents all learning resources virtually. It often takes many ways of using Skype, video conferencing in the lecture rooms, and many other forms.1.4 AimsThis dissertation paper aims to explore the effectiveness onlin e nursing education. For instance, whether it can bring distinctive aspects of nursing experience, that is shaping the professionalism of nursing when compared to the traditional form of nursing education.1.5 ObjectivesA] To understand the effectiveness of online nursing education.B] To illustrate the various ways in which online learning for nursing takes place.C] To identify the significance and limitations of online nursing education.D] To identify the current estimated value of nursing students learning through the online method.1.6 Research QuestionWhat is the effectiveness of online nursing education in the global context today?1.7Importance of this ResearchThe outcomes of this study will help in answering the research question on the effectiveness of online nursing education. Therefore, it will be a significant research for both students and tutors who are engaging in online learning as well as traditional learning to identify which education method is more beneficial to thei r careers. Also, with the recommendations which will be identified, this research will help in identification of the best approaches towards online education which can be implemented, and improve the already known online education programs.1.8 Operational Definition of TermsOnline learning: this process involves presenting all the necessary learning resources to learners through the internet and offering tutoring services through avenues such as video conferencing.Nursing education: it is a way of preparing nurses for administrative roles by helping them develop clinical reasoning and care planning.Peer-Wise: an established online educational tool which enables learners to share, write, discuss, answer, and even rate several choice questions under or no contribution from the instructor.2.0 CHAPTER 22.1 LITERATURE REVIEWAccording to Bland et al., 2011, online nursing education programs are rapidly growing and increasing. These education programs are issued subordinate to doctoral deg rees. With the increasing number of online nursing education in nursing, faculties must be competent and hold skills necessary for the online nursing environment. Efficient teaching practices foster student satisfaction, learning, and achievement in the nursing field. This literature review on the effectiveness of online nursing education strategies reveals different and several frequent themes of collective activities like use of discussion boards (Boltz et al., 2016). A researcher examined online nursing learning and found that various factors are significant to make sense of collective caring. These factors comprise the capability to deliver respectfully, in time, by encouraging, allowing considerate interactions between students and faculty.Button et al., (2014), shows that a gap lies in the qualitative studies that con...

SAT Math Simplifying Complex Fractions

Complex fractions are made up of one or more other fractions. For instance, a complex fraction could have  ½ as its numerator or  ¾ as its denominator—or both! You probably haven’t thought much about complex fractions since elementary or primary school. After all, the further you get in your education, the more you get to lean on your calculator for basic math. But when the SAT  hits you with a complex fraction full of variables, your calculator won’t help. You’ll have to get back to basics and simplify that fraction. Compare these two groups of complex fractions. They’re the same except that one group has variables where the other one doesn’t. 1510418 2334 15n4x8 a3b4    Although your calculator can crush complex fractions made of numbers, it can’t break down ones that have variables. But you can. First, take the bar that separates the complex fraction’s numerator from its denominator and make that bar a division operator. Then find the reciprocal of the denominator-turned-divisor and multiply rather than divide. 15n   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   15 à · n1   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   15 Ãâ€" 1n   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   15n 4x8   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   41 à · x8   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   41 Ãâ€" 8x   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   32x a3b4   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   a3 à · b4   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   a3 Ãâ€" 4b   Ã‚  Ã¢â€¡â€™Ã‚  Ã‚   4a3b These basic moves will simplify any complex fraction, variables or no variables. A fraction bar implies division, and when the numerator or denominator of a fraction is itself a fraction, the division is replaced with multiplication by the denominator’s reciprocal. Superstition Essay Topics

Superstition Essay TopicsNo superstition essay topics to avoid or pass on. They can be found in many types of books, articles, online journals, old bygone columns of that vintage, in most real estate books and in any book you find that feature's history, religion, ethics or sociology. The funny thing is that superstition is in fact nothing more than an old and antiquated practice that has always been followed by many ancient cultures. They are just carried over and spread by others and continue to exist. The practice of superstition is practiced disbelief and denial, but believe it or not, in our day and age, we also practice disbelief and denial. The acceptance of superstition essay topics is a myth of a very dark age. We now have thousands of superstitions believed in and practiced by individuals who should know better. If you are to believe something is a superstition, it must be tested by the forces of the universe itself or by some type of magical, poetic or strange device. Nothing in this world is free from life, death, change, cause and effect, probability, fundamental existence or another religion. Science alone cannot prove any phenomena or theory. As you move from superstition to today, you see a fair number of individuals are already under the law, charged with criminal actions, who claim to be 'Supernatural.' They may say that it is their God or their Goddess that lives or works in the universe. They are superstitious or have adopted the terms and behavior of their religion or belief system. Again, a term as broad as what superstition is and what it is not should have an answer and definition, which may include most scientific phenomena, but not all.Modern society finds itself questioning superstition. It is becoming harder to believe in something like the Christian God thathas somehow protected millions of people and still does. What in fact happens when we are actually there to witness a miracle? A miracle does not really happen at the chance of a coi n falling on a table. And why are superstition and faith not taken to the next level? Because we have now been forced to move from the scientific field to humanism. Although, there is still the need for a real and sincere supernatural belief for almost anything to be correct, it would seem as superstition is slowly becoming a way of life for some. If you are to be superstitious then I believe in it.

Real but Not Really the Reality Tv Genre - 1676 Words

Kate Woodward MCJ 162 T Th 8-9:15 Real But Not Really: The Reality TV Genre When Philo T. Farnsworth invented the electric television, he probably did not think that it would be used to show people eating bugs, finding husbands based on votes of viewers, or living on deserted islands. But that is exactly what you can see any given night on television now. This newest form of television programming fad is the reality television genre. Reality television is now on every station, every night, everywhere. The web page Fact Monster credits the beginning of reality TV as beginning around 2000 when a little reality game show called Who wants to be a Millionaire hit television screens. Millionaire saw the†¦show more content†¦This is what makes Survivor a more well rounded show as opposed to a half hour of adrenaline and disgusting foods. When looking at reality television we get a skewed sense of reality. First of all, in reality shows most people are better looking than the average civilian. If they are not terribly good looking they are at least charismatic, or interesting characters. Fear Factor very rarely has people who are overweight, old, or unattractive. They promote such specials as Fear Factor: Models or Fear Factor: Miss America. Survivor is more varied in their range of people, but even if the contestants are unattractive, older or more overweight they are always at least interesting in their lives and the way they play the game. Although they claim to be reality, all reality TV shows are edited for time and to make them more interesting, which is part of why they skew our view of reality. For instance, no one is ever just plain boring on reality television shows. At least if they are those parts get edited away to make them seem at least slightly entertaining. What this tricky editing leads us to believe when we watch is that the way these people are acting is the way everybody in society acts or should act. The Duality Of Man By Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde - 1098 Words

The Duality of Man In the classic story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, a quiet, polite scientist, Dr. Jekyll, creates an elixir that basically allows him to turn into the aggressive and violent man called Mr. Hyde. The main theme seems to repeat itself throughout the entire tale, while it may not be clear to the reader in the beginning, this theme is actually quite easy to understand once it has been discovered. The underlying theme, that Robertson seems to want his reader to take away is this idea of the â€Å"duality of the nature of man†. Robertson looked at man as being made up of two parts, contained in one overall being. The reader can choose for themselves to look at these two parts as either the good and the evil or as man’s primitive, true self and the mask he must wear for society. However this idea of the duality of man is approached, one cannot deny that it seems to be the underlying theme throughout this classic novella. Near the beginning of this piece, Dr. Jekyll states that â€Å"man is not truly one, but truly two,† with each persona placed in the soul. The easiest way to look at this is to think of the metaphorical angel and devil that sit on your shoulder. One persona being the light or good side and the other being the darker, more â€Å"evil† side. The soul becomes a battleground, where both sides clash heads at every opportunity in an endless struggle to gain dominance over the other. This is where Dr. Jekyll gets his tragic idea from: a potion that will separateShow MoreRelatedHow Does Stevenson Portray the Duality of Man in the Opening Chapters of ‘the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’?1845 Words   |  8 Pagesthe duality of man in the opening chapters of ‘The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’?
